Exclusively for Southend Festival Seven, the actor will be sharing anecdotes about his life and career from his early days as a bodybuilder to receiving an MBE from the Queen. There will also be a Q and A.

Dave recently made public his battle with prostate cancer and has asked that all proceeds from this event go to the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton, Surrey, where he is being treated.

Local star, Mike Edmonds, who played the Ewok Logray in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and starred in Time Bandits, will also be in attendance subject to his availability.

Only 250 tickets will be made available for this one-off event, so we advise you to book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be purchased in the following ways:

A tragedy by the Spanish dramatist Federico García Lorca, Blood Wedding combines poetry with a strong sense of the Andalucían culture and landscape. Inspired by a story reported in a newspaper, it tells of a bride who runs away on her wedding day with another man, and of the revenge taken to protect the family honour. Using Ted Hughes's English version, the BND Acting company intend to create a strongly visual and physical production, with live music.”
